Praise

Praise takes such an important part of our Spiritual Lives that Holy Scripture refers to it a total of 350 times. More then any other teaching in the Holy Word.

It is the earliest teaching of Scripture in;

Genesis 14:20

And blessed be ^[1] God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

For those of us who really wish to know The Father – Almighty God –El Shaddai and understand His Word, the following are all of the Scripture Teachings on PRAISE.

Genesis 24

saying, "Praise be to the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the LORD has led me on the journey to the house of my master's relatives."

Genesis 29

She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, "This time I will praise the LORD." So she named him Judah. ^[1] Then she stopped having children.

Genesis 49

"Judah, ^[2] your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father's sons will bow down to you.

Exodus 15

The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

Exodus 18

He said, "Praise be to the LORD, who rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and of Pharaoh, and who rescued the people from the hand of the Egyptians.

Leviticus 19:24

In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, an offering of praise to the LORD.

Deuteronomy 8

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.

Deuteronomy 10

He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

Deuteronomy 26

He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honour high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he promised.

I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!

Joshua 7:19

Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the LORD, ^[1] the God of Israel, and give him the praise. ^[2] Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me."

Judges 5

"When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves-- praise the LORD!

"Hear this, you kings! Listen, you rulers! I will sing to ^[1] the LORD, I will sing; I will make music to ^[2] the LORD, the God of Israel.

My heart is with Israel's princes, with the willing volunteers among the people. Praise the LORD!

Ruth 4:14

The women said to Naomi: "Praise be to the LORD, who this day has not left you without a kinsman-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!

1 Samuel 25

David said to Abigail, "Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who has sent you today to meet me.

When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, "Praise be to the LORD, who has upheld my cause against Nabal for treating me with contempt. He has kept his servant from doing wrong and has brought Nabal's wrongdoing down on his own head." Then David sent word to Abigail, asking her to become his wife.

2 Samuel 18

Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, "All is well!" He bowed down before the king with his face to the ground and said, "Praise be to the LORD your God! He has delivered up the men who lifted their hands against my lord the king."

2 Samuel 22

I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.

"The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savoir!

Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name.

1 Kings 1

and said, `Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who has allowed my eyes to see a successor on my throne today.'"

1 Kings 5

When Hiram heard Solomon's message, he was greatly pleased and said, "Praise be to the LORD today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation."

1 Chronicles 23

Four thousand are to be gatekeepers and four thousand are to praise the LORD with the musical instruments I have provided for that purpose."

They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD. They were to do the same in the evening

1 Chronicles 29

David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, "Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

Then David said to the whole assembly, "Praise the LORD your God." So they all praised the LORD, the God of their fathers; they bowed low and fell prostrate before the LORD and the king.

2 Chronicles 2

2 Chronicles 20

After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendour of his ^[1] holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever."

As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.

On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the Valley of Beracah ^[2] to this day.

2 Chronicles 29

King Hezekiah and his officials ordered the Levites to praise the LORD with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with gladness and bowed their heads and worshiped.

2 Chronicles 30

The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great rejoicing, while the Levites and priests sang to the LORD every day, accompanied by the Lord’s instruments of praise. ^[3]

Ezra 3

When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests in their vestments and with trumpets, and the Levites (the sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their places to praise the LORD, as prescribed by David king of Israel.

With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the LORD: "He is good; his love to Israel endures forever." And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Ezra 7

Praise be to the LORD, the God of our fathers, who has put it into the king's heart to bring honour to the house of the LORD in Jerusalem in this way

Nehemiah 9

And the Levites--Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah--said: "Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. ^[1]" "Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.

Nehemiah 12

For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there had been directors for the singers and for the songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Psalms 7

I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Psalm 106

Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise?
